On the first of September Jack gained a fever, since she had her immunisations on the Tuesday before we thought that was the problem. So we gave her panadol and had two sleepless nights regularly giving her panadol and checking hewr temperature.
On Sunday (3rd) we went to Zac Szymakowskis christening and there she had another fever so we went to the after hours doctor. There we found out she had an ear infection so we got a script for penicillin. By Monday she still had a fever and was not getting any better. On Tuesday she had a rash and so we took her to the doctor (see other post for map) and they thought she may have measles. So we went off to the pediatrician. She didn't think Jack had measles but a virus.
She said to keep up the panadol in higher doses. So we did and off we went home. Wednesday she was no better, Thursday she got a BIG rash and was really lethargic so we went off to the doctor again.
Of course Sarah and I were extremely sleep deprived.
The doctor thought it was a general virus rash. So we went home again and that night she developed a cough which meant both Sarah and I got no sleep. In the morning - today (a full week later) she woke up with swollen eyelids. She could only open her eyes half way.
Off to the doctor again. Apparently she is allergic to penicillin. So now she is having anti-histamines and hopefully will sleep the night.
