This is a test of blogging with Word 2007.
Boodi.com is the web site for the Richards family: Newell, Sarah, Jacqueline, William and David. It shows pictures and tales from the kids life.

Windows Live Writer Post
Well I finally have Community Server 2.1 on ASP.Net 2.0. All photos are in there and the blooging from Windows Live writer and Word 2007 works fine. I have a numbert of things to do:
- theme
- fix the newell user
- add the comments to the photos
The process of getting the site setup was fairly arduous. The issue was that the database did not upload properly and the settings on the server did not seem to be correct. So I had to install the CS 1.1 package that was available on DailyRazor. Then upload version 2.1 and run the upgrade scripts. This gave me a working CS 2.1. I then had to import all the old DotText blogs and photos.
For this I had to setup the CS1.1 locally, use the dottext converter (prior to installing the package), upgrade it to 2.1. Then I connected to the DailyRazor and imported the data from the local tables.
Unfortunately despite all the settings being correct, the photos would not display so I had to upload all of the photos through the bulk import feature.
All I can say is there is an easier way and I should of done it.
Here is an arbitary map just to test the feature:
I thought I would locate the doctor I have been to every day over the past four days. Jack has had and ear infection, suspected measles, a wet cough (today) and finally puffy eyelids. Basically it hasn't been a good trot for the past two weeks. Sarah and I have also been quite sick with ear infections and a cough.
The main issue is Jack though, babies should never be sick. They make pathetic look good. Anyway we're off to the doctor this afternoon.
TechEd thoughts
It seems that the new thing is data or knowledge being pushed to the user. You have blogging built into office. Sharepoint has wiki and blogs.
There is a lot more xml,web services and Mobile capability. Microsoft is getting into online services for example live or Virtual Earth.
